Day 45. Communism. (Not Really)

We need to make up our minds. Should we work together or should we be ruggedly independent? Are we all about teamwork or should we just incubate our own ideas in a vacuum of solitude?

Personally I find myself difficult to work with. Even when working alone. However as a classically trained educator I know that sometimes I must encourage my students to learn to work in a team so that some day they can gather together to speak passionately about rugged individualism and American Exceptionalism. That is my dream for all of us. Or for just me. Or for all of us together individually.

That is why we worked using a technique called "Jigsaw" today. You work as a group and then teach a lesson as a singular person. Then back to a group but a different group. Whatever. My AP Government class did it today and I was as impressed as a man that literally rides a hippopotamus to work every morning can get. (It's swampy this time of year. I'll switch to a giraffe as it gets less humid.)

I'm sorry for the low quality of the picture.

I don't own him. We are just friends. I help him with his job applications, he carpools with me to work.

Where did you buy your hippopotamus? I'm asking for a friend.
