At the epicenter of every earthquake is a great energy yearning for freedom. It tears at the rocks which we believe to be so chained in time to one place and makes us question our very idea of permanence. What we believed once, we now question. Speaking of questions, and the shaking of our cores...

Today AP Government and Politics took a quiz and everyone loved it. There was some discussion of picking me up and carrying me triumphantly down the hallway, but considering the tiny size and weak grips of children, they decided against it.

Later, I assigned an FRQ for practice, and for some reason several students seemed annoyed that they were being asked about something they had not been taught yet. I assume some of them were lying as I know middle school offers a civics class. Then again I cannot be certain they all went to middle school as many middle schools are becoming much more particular about who they will let in, and most kids between the ages of 11 and 13 just wander the streets and loiter at convenience stores until they are tall enough for high school.

From the back of the classroom, first period, I heard a loud slurping noise and I assumed someone was holding a cat underwater, but instead it was just some kids with refreshers from some unknown coffee shop that had apparently forgotten my order.

Also this:

was left in my classroom. I assume it's either a subtle hint about my need for a better perfume, or it was inadvertent. Also a book about what appears to be turtles. Maybe it's turtle scent? Maybe someone is planning on going to the beach this week and making sure all the turtles smell seductive? It's a mystery.

My AICE Global Perspectives class gave wonderful presentations about things like why we shouldn't bother to exercise, and the best way to murder a lizard (yes, actually). During one of the presentations I was bullied unmercifully, however I'm built of stronger material due to my robust diet and just overall excellent good nature.
